Unemployment in Bulgaria in February has slightly decreased to 3.8% in comparison with 3.9% in January and 4.6% in March 2022, show Eurostat data published on 31 March. The unemployment rate in EU in February was 6% compared to 6.1% in January and 6.2% in February 2022.
The unemployment rate in the euro area remained at the same level as in January (6%), down from February 2022, when it was 6.8%.
According to Eurostat data, 127,000 people were unemployed in Bulgaria last month. A total of 13.120 million were unemployed in the EU in the same period, including 11.142 million in the eurozone.
Compared with January, the number of unemployed has gone down by 24,000 in the EU and by 59,000 in the eurozone, and compared with February last year - by 247,000 and 257,000 respectively.
