The first regional conference and startup competition South East European Innovators Challenge (SEEIC)
Technology parks and innovation zones from Southeast Europe will gather at the first regional conference and startup competition South East European Innovators Challenge (SEEIC), the hosts from Sofia Tech Park told BTA. The event, which will take place between October 27 and 28, will gather representatives of the academic and business communities, startup ecosystems from Bulgaria, Greece, Romania, Serbia, Turkiye and Montenegro, international investors, state and municipal institutions and media.
The upcoming forum will be the first initiative of the SEE Science & Technology Parks Alliance. The regional organization established in June 2024 includes Sofia Tech Park, Gabrovo Tech Park, JOIST Innovation Park (Greece), Thessaloniki Innovation and Technology Center (Greece), Magurele Science Park (Romania), Technology park Novi Sad (Serbia), Science Technology Park Nis (Serbia), Ostim Teknopark (Turkiye), Antalya OIZ Technopark (Turkiye), Bursa Technopark (Turkiye), BUDOTEK Teknopark (Turkiye), Namik Kemal University Technology Development Zone (Turkiye).
The Alliance aims to foster cooperation between the countries' science and innovation ecosystems and to develop innovation and technology in the region. It is a platform for knowledge and experience sharing, collaboration between strategic companies and initiatives to make the region an attractive location for investing.
