The Defence Industry - National Industrial Club Association and Shanghai Lumaotong Industrial Group Signed a Memorandum of Partnership

The Defence Industry - National Industrial Club Association, a member of the Council of Sectoral Organisations at BCCI, signed a Memorandum of Partnership with the Chinese Industrial Group, called Shanghai Lumaotong Industrial Group. The document was signed by Konstantin Serafimov, Chairman of the Association, and the President of the Chinese group Zhan Lyujin. BCCI hosted the event.

Mr Serafimov said that it is an honour for the Association to establish business contacts between Bulgarian industrial companies, which are members of the organisation and are already more than 1,000, and Chinese partners. He shared that the Chinese representatives would visit production facilities of some of the members, as well as the ones with a forthcoming opening of International Armored Group (IAG), a leading company producing armoured machines. Mr Serafimov expressed the hope that this Memorandum would become the beginning of a future long-term cooperation.

BCCI President Tsvetan Simeonov informed that the Chamber maintains excellent relationships with the Chinese Embassy in Bulgaria. He added that the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry considers China to be an extremely valuable strategic partner with which to work at every available opportunity. Mr Simeonov announced that, following the good partnership, on 28  August the Chamber sent a business delegation to China, which included 26 representatives of different economic sectors.

After the official signing of the Memorandum, bilateral meetings were held between the Chinese delegation and the Bulgarian participants in the event.
