The Chamber of Commerce and Industry – Vratsa welcomes the Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands

The Chamber of Commerce and Industry – Vratsa welcomed His Excellency Simon van der Burg, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to the Republic of Bulgaria, at a meeting with regional business representatives in Vratsa.

H.E. Simon van der Burg, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Sofia, visited the Chamber of Commerce and Industry – Vratsa. The meeting, titled "Bulgaria and the Netherlands: Opportunities for Cooperation," was initiated by Denitsa Simeonova (MP from the 6th MIR Vratsa), in partnership with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry – Vratsa. The discussion was attended by Monika Nikolova (Economic Advisor to the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Bulgaria), representatives of the Dutch-Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce, the Dutch-Bulgarian Business Association (DBBA), and representatives of over 20 regional businesses. This is the first official visit of H.E. Simon van der Burg to the city.

The purpose of the visit was to raise awareness of the business potential of the region, discuss opportunities for creating contacts between Dutch and Bulgarian companies that share a common interest in cooperation, and establish bilateral relations. A working meeting was also held between representatives of the Dutch-Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce, the Dutch-Bulgarian Business Association (DBBA), and the team of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry – Vratsa.

The visit marks the first steps towards better future relations between Vratsa, Northwestern Bulgaria, and the Kingdom of the Netherlands.
