Tsvetan Simeonov and the Ambassador of Rwanda in Israel, accredited to Bulgaria, discussed the economic relations between the two countries
H.E. James Gatera, Ambassador of the Republic of Rwanda in Israel, accredited to Bulgaria, visited the Chamber of Commerce and Industry and had talks with the President Tsvetan Simeonov.
They discussed the economic situation and the possibilities for cooperation through the exchange of information of such possibilities between entrepreneurs from both countries.
Ambassador Gatera outlined the most important economic sectors of the country, including the mining industry. The country has large deposits of lithium which is used for production of batteries for electric cars. Tourism is a well-developed field. The spectacular sceneray attracts tourists from all over the world - 1.5 million in 2023. The diplomat shared that recently young people in Rwanda had been increasingly interested in the possiblity to study in Bulgaria and arrangaments were undeway to establish contacts with Bulgarian universities .
Simeonov introduced the main services offered by the Chamber with the highlight on the issuance of electronic commercial documents through the system of the International commercial chamber, where the BCPP is the 11th accredited Chamber among more than 800 chambers from all over the world. Further he presented the possibilities of the Arbitration court with regard to commercial disputes. The two parties agreed on the organisation of a hybrid event with the participation of experts from Rwanda for presentation of the new possibilities of doing business in the country. The BCCI shall additionally communicate the date of the meeting.
