The President of the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Tsvetan Simeonov held an online conversation with Bernadette Zeiler, CEO of the Johannesburg Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Republic of South Africa.
The organization, established in 1890, has been on the move organizing international events in order to support the internationalization of local enterprises - forums, exhibitions, trainings, meetings and discussions. It plays a special role in the support the SMEs receive. The organisation is part of the Association of South African Chambers of Commerce and host of the National Committee of the International Chamber of Commerce.
Tsvetan Simeonov presented the Chamber and underlined some common interests of Bulgarian businesses and partners from Johannesburg, especially with regard to access to international markets, exhibitions, certification of international trade documents and promotion of better business conditions on a national scale.
Simeonov briefed the guests on the economic environment in Bulgaria, pointing out that Bulgaria could provide agricultural processing machines, experience in renewable energy, a well-developed system of companies and skills in the information and communication technology sector, logistics and transport solutions, conditions for development of cooperation in the field of tourism, etc.
The parties agreed to strengthen the links between the two organizations. The meeting was held with the courtesy of the Embassy of the Republic of Bulgaria in Pretoria.
