The new Ambassador of Bulgaria to Zagreb Iva Kruleva visited the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry to dispute with its President Tsvetan Simeonov the possibilities for bilateral economic cooperation.
Simeonov stressed on the active interaction between the BCCI and the Croatian Chamber of Commerce and advised on reaching out to the partners in Zagreb. Among the things discussed were the possibilities for enhancing the relations between companies from both countries by exchanging business visits, organizing business events, b2b meetings, presentations, etc. The potential of the two chambers of commerce for finding partners and sub-suppliers has not been exhausted. The President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry presented the advantages of the Unified Trade Register and emphasized on the speed and efficiency of resolving commercial disputes through arbitration.
Kruleva pointed out that the trade between the two countries increased by 18% in 2022 compared to the previous year, reaching 484.8 million euros. The balance is positive for Bulgaria.
The Ambassador notified of the recently launched direct flight line between the capitals of both countries and commented that regular flights improve transport connectivity not only for the tourism sector, but also for every business.
Another topic during the discourse was the lesson Bulgaria could learn from Croatia's membership in Schengen and the Eurozone.
Both sides agreed to continue the cooperation between the BCCI and the Embassy and the Commercial and Economic Section of the Embassy of the Republic of Bulgaria in Zagreb, Croatia.
