BCCI and the International Youth Chamber discussed joint initiatives in Bulgaria

Representatives of the International Youth Chamber /JCI/ visited the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Denitsa Valeva, vice president of the organization, for Bulgaria, and Annalisa Schembri, vice president of the International Youth Chamber for 2023, spoke with the President - Mr. Tsvetan Simeonov.

Possibilities for deepening the cooperation, which has been active since the creation of the organization in Bulgaria in 2011, were discussed.

As a non-governmental organization, JCI has a mission to create leadership development opportunities that empower and inspire young people /18-40 years/ to make a positive difference in society. The Chamber is preparing the international Creative Young Entrepreneur program - an entrepreneurial competition for start-up and operating enterprises. The event will take place in 2024 for the first time in Bulgaria. The winners will take part in the European edition. It was agreed that BCCI and JCI would join their efforts to make the program meet the needs of young entrepreneurs in Bulgaria.

Mr. Simeonov presented the activities of the BCCI in favor of start-up companies, explaining the work of the Investment Council, and extended an invitation for participation in the upcoming Sofia International Money Expo, which will take place in the capital, in October.

Other forms of collaboration between the two business organizations were also discussed, including involvement in the Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs Programme, to which BCCI is an intermediary organization.
