Guidelines and programs for cooperation with China




A delegation from the China International Development Cooperation Agency /CIDCA / visited the Chamber of Commerce and Industry and held a meeting with the President of the Chamber Tsvetan Simeonov.

China International Development Cooperation Agency is a government organization for developing strategic guidelines, plans and policies regarding foreign cooperation. The agency is also in charge of the arrangement of seminars and trainings in China.

The delegation was led by Mr. Deng Boqing, vice-chairman, and included representatives of the human resources development departments managing the training courses for foreign participants.

Tsvetan Simeonov welcomed the participants in the meeting and shared that the organization of such seminars for representatives of Bulgarian organizations and businesses is an excellent opportunity to enhance bilateral trade and economic relations. He reminded that the BCCI, with the cooperation of the Embassy of the People's Republic of China, have already organized 2 trainings in China for employees and partners of the Chamber - in 2019 and 2023 and a third one under preparation to take place in 2024.

The purpose of the meeting was to receive feedback from the participants in the trainings, exchange practices and provide useful, efficient recommendations to render the program even better.

Further, in the framework of the meeting, Simeonov and Boqing discussed the sectors with the potential to develop even further - tourism and food industry. They considered connecting Bulgarian and Chinese tourist companies for package services that included visiting, apart from Bulgaria, of some neighboring countries, too. The Deputy Chairman of CIDCA pointed out that Bulgarian wine was favoured on the Chinese market and there was a potential for even more and recommended a joint national brand marketing.
