Vesna Radonić, Chargé d'Affaires of the Embassy of Montenegro in Bulgaria, met with the President of the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI), Mr. Tsvetan Simeonov.
Radonić congratulated the President on Bulgaria's full membership in the Schengen Area. Several sectors for future bilateral economic cooperation were presented, including tourism, small and medium-sized enterprises, infrastructure, agriculture, and the environment.
According to Vesna Radonić, around 30 Bulgarian companies currently operate in Montenegro in different economic sectors. A high-level visit from Montenegro is expected by the end of the year, and a bilateral business forum is being organized. The guest was acquainted with the activities of the Unified Trade Register at BCCI, the Arbitration Court’s practice, GS1 Bulgaria, etc.
According to data from the Bulgarian National Bank (BNB), the total direct foreign investments from Montenegro to Bulgaria as of July 1, 2024, amount to 2.7 million euros.
