The newly appointed Ambassador of Moldova in Sofia, H.E. Emil Jacotă, visited BCCI and talked with its President Tsvetan Simeonov. Viorica Prodan, Third Secretary at the Embassy, also participated in the meeting.
There was interest on the part of Moldova in increasing cooperation with Bulgaria in the sectors of agriculture, information technologies, construction, wine production, tourism, etc.
Mr Simeonov acquainted the Ambassador with the activities of the Chamber in support of the business and the membership in international partner organisations. It was agreed that in the near future, BCCI, together with the Embassy team, organises an exhibition of Moldovan goods in Sofia and the period to hold the event will be specified.

Data from the Bulgarian National Bank (BNB) show that in 2023, the aggregate foreign direct investment (FDI) from Moldova in Bulgaria amounted to EUR 15.8 million.
