Bulgarian-Saudi Chamber of Commerce presented plans to expand the scope of its activities


Dimitar Abadzhiev, President of the Bulgarian-Saudi Chamber of Commerce, visited BCCI and talked with its President Tsvetan Simeonov. The meeting was also attended by Tsvetanka Lukarska, Vice President of the Joint Chamber and Chairperson of the National Chamber of Mineral Waters in the Republic of Bulgaria.

Mr Abadzhiev presented the Joint Chamber’s plans to expand the scope of its activities with partners in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. A subject of the discussion were also the opportunities to make bilateral cooperation active in a number of areas, including energy, economy, investment, education, culture and innovation, among others.

On his part, Simeonov thanked for the economic information provided about the development of the Kingdom at the moment and based on the experience of Dimitar Abadzhiev as Bulgaria's former ambassador in Riyadh.

The first session of the Joint Committee on economic cooperation between the Republic of Bulgaria and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is expected to be held in Sofia at the beginning of the third quarter of 2024 and will be accompanied by a bilateral business forum on a large scale. The Agreement, establishing the necessary legal framework for setting up a Joint Committee between the two countries, was signed in March 2023 in Sofia.

BCCI will additionally give information about any forthcoming events related to the Arab country.
