H.E. Ms Imen Laajili Ammari, Ambassador of Tunisia, based in Belgrade and accredited to Bulgaria, visited BCCI and together with Mr Tsvetan Simeonov, President of the Chamber, discussed the opportunities to make the trade and economic relations between Bulgaria and Tunisia more active.
Mr Simeonov acquainted Ambassador Ammari with the BCCI activity, as well as with the regional structure and voluntary Trade Register of the Chamber. He put an emphasis on the possibilities to search for partners of the Tunisian companies, to issue references from the Trade Register and to make the TOP 1500 Ranking of companies, which have been ranked according to the size of their net sales revenue, among others.
Ambassador Ammari shared that one of her priorities is to achieve closer trade and economic relations between Bulgaria and Tunisia. She gave information on the political and economic situation in the country and underlined the stability in recent years and the reforms, launched in the African country.
The Meeting discussed the organisation of an Economic Day in Bulgaria to present the reforms in the Tunisian economy and the incentives for attracting foreign investments. Ambassador Ammari said that the country is a major producer of bio olive oil in Africa and is also famous for its spa tourism, wine production and craft goods. The cooperation in the field of education and exchange of students was discussed as well.
Ambassador Ammari and Tsvetan Simeonov discussed the need to update the Cooperation Agreement between BCCI and the Tunisia Employers' Confederation in order to harmonise it with the new economic realities in both countries.
