The EU – Japan and Republic of Korea Business Hub Programme Opens up New Opportunities for Bulgarian SMEs
BCCI held a presentation of the Programme for the EU – Japan and the Republic of Korea Business Hub, funded by the EU and carried out by the Association of European Chambers of Commerce and Industry (AECCI) and Deloitte, Belgium.
The event was officially opened by Tsvetan Simeonov, Chairman of the Management Board of BCCI, who shared that the Programme is a good opportunity for Bulgaria and Bulgarian business in enhancing the quality of our economy and increasing its competitiveness because Japan and the Republic of Korea are among the leading economies in the world in terms of innovation and quality of work and they are good partners for each country.
The EU – Japan and the Republic of Korea Business Hub Programme was presented by the Project’s team in Bulgaria - Gabriela Dimitrova, Director of International Cooperation and International Organisations Dept. at BCCI, and Miroslava Markova, Chief Expert at BCCI.
For entering both markets, the Programme aims to finance small- and medium-sized enterprises, which are from the three key areas - the green sector and ecology, the digital solutions and the health sector, including healthcare and medical equipment.
Following the Programme, 10 business missions to Japan and 10 business missions to Korea will be organised within a period of 4 years. Each business mission will consist of 50 SMEs from the European Union. The aim is that they are innovative enterprises or start-ups with specific innovations. The period of implementing the Programme is 2024-2027.
The Companies, which take part in these business missions, receive not only logistical but also financial support.
