Mr. Tsvetan Simeonov, President of the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, participated in the official opening of meetings with Taiwanese companies organized by the Taiwan Trade Center in Sofia. The Taiwanese trade mission, currently visiting Bulgaria, includes firms in the field of the machinery, automotive manufacturing sectors, spare parts, tools, network cabling, entry doors, food, beverage industry, and more.
The event was opened by Shane Tsai, Director of the Taiwan Trade Center in Sofia, who shared that the center has been operating in Bulgaria for 20 years, with the primary goal of connecting businesses from Bulgaria and Taiwan (PRC). Tsai informed that each year, one visit by Taiwanese companies is organized, and for the current delegation, more than 100 meetings with Bulgarian firms have been coordinated.
Mr. Tsvetan Simeonov welcomed the participants and presented the activities of the BCCI, emphasizing the unified voluntary trade register and the digitized arbitration court. Mr. Simeonov mentioned that Bulgaria needs high-tech partners like Taiwan (PRC) to be a competitive country within the European Union. He wished success in the meetings between Taiwanese and Bulgarian companies and stated the readiness of the BCCI to assist in finding potential partners.
