H.E. James Gatera, Ambassador of the Republic of Rwanda in Tel Aviv with accreditation for Bulgaria, visited the BCCI and talked with the President Tsvetan Simeonov. The meeting was also attended by Nirora Gashegu, First Secretary at the Embassy, and Josephine Mbabazi, Assistant to the Ambassador.
Ambassador Gatera informed about a Bulgarian investor in the country, who is developing activities in agriculture - corn cultivation. It is expected after a more active exchange of economic information between the embassy team and the BCCI, more Bulgarian companies will invest in various sectors in Rwanda. Like attractive investment sectors, he indicated congress tourism, software development, tropical fruit cultivation - avocado, coffee, tea, hot pepper, etc. The country has deposits of gold and various metals also. There is interest in importing Bulgarian machinery for processing agricultural produce, ambassador noted.
It was agreed to hold a hybrid event with the participation of experts from Rwanda who will present the new moments in doing business in the country. The BCCI will further inform about the period of holding.
