A regular monthly poll by the National Statistical Institute (NSI), the results of which were released on November 28, has found views of Bulgaria’s business climate in November largely unchanged compared with those in October.
Previous recent polls by the NSI found an improvement in January, with sentiment largely unchanged in February and again in March, improving in April and again in May, before declining in June and again in July, followed by an improvement in August and a worsening in September and October.
In November 2024, the total business climate indicator improved only in the industry sector, the NSI said.
The business climate in industry indicator went up by 2.5 percentage points, with managers positive about the business situation of their firms.
The construction indicator went by 0.8 percentage points, with managers reserved in their views of the business situation.
The retail trade indicator was largely unchanged compared with October, while retailers were holding unfavourable views about both the volume of sales and orders placed with suppliers over the next three months.
The service sector indicator was down by 3.9 percentage points, with managers pessimistic about the business situation.
