Monika Panayotova is BCCI’s Representative in the European Economic and Social Committee

The Council of Ministers adopted a Decision on approval of Bulgaria’s applications, proposed by the Economic and Social Council, for choosing a member of the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC) for the period 2025-2030. Monika Panayotova is the approved representative of BCCI for the Employers Group*.

In a Chamber meeting, Monika Panayotova exchanged views with its President Tsvetan Simeonov on the EESC role as Consultative body when implementing the different EU initiatives in the social and economic sphere, taking into account the interests of civil society – trade unions, employers and agricultural producers. Beata Papazova, the Chamber Adviser on European Integration and Projects, also participated in the meeting.

Mr Simeonov presented BCCI's positions with regard to major challenges at European and global level and highlighted the cooperation with Eurochambres in the formation of these positions.

On her part, Monika Panayotova committed herself to present and defend these positions, to coordinate regularly – with BCCI Heads – the opinions, which she will present in the separate EESC commissions, and to inform the Chamber on the new realities and opportunities occurring in the economic and social policy of the EU.
