The new Ambassador of Bulgaria to Beirut Yasen Tomov visited the Chamber of Commerce and Industry and discussed with its President Tsvetan Simeonov the possibilities for strengthening the commercial and economic relations between Bulgaria and Lebanon.
Ambassador Tomov laid out his vision about the development of bilateral cooperation against the background of the overall economic situation in Lebanon. He pointed out that business contacts between the two countries were rather erratic and his idea of enhancing the relations was to organize annually meetings for the business entities to talk and discuss potential partnerships. Further, the diplomat emphasized the importance of continuing the cooperation between Bulgaria and Lebanon in the field of academic exchange.
Tsvetan Simeonov introduced the guest to the activities of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry and its regional structure, expressing the willingness of the Chamber to assist the Ambassador in stimulating bilateral trade and economic relations, organizing business forums and delegations, finding potential partners, etc. Further, Tsvetan Simeonov presented the Association of Bulgarian-Arab Chambers with president Ahmad Alaeddine, created in 2020 with the help of BCCI.
