An expert mission of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) headed by Fabian Bornhorst is visiting Bulgaria in the period 12 – 18 February 2025. Within their visit the experts of the international financial institution are going to have meetings with representatives of the Ministry of Finance and the Bulgarian National Bank in order to discuss the current macroeconomic processes and economic situation. The visit is held in the context of the IMF's surveillance of member countries' policies.
The IMF mission's expert visits are part of the usual format by which the international financial institution interacts with member states with which it does not have agreed implementation programmes.
