Colombia as a business destination - upcoming informational event



H.E. Assad José Jater Peña, the Ambassador of Colombia, seat of Embassy located in Poland, is in Sofia to present his credentials to the President of the Republic of Bulgaria. He visited the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The meeting was also attended by Teodor Totev from an international law firm.

This is the second meeting between Ambassador Jater and the President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Tsvetan Simeonov. The first one took place in November 2022 in Warsaw within the framework of Simeonov's visit there.

The event was organized for the exchange of latest information on the economic development of Bulgaria and Colombia. The guest was introduced to the brochure "Bulgaria in figures 2023", in compound data. Another topic discussed was also the way to expand bilateral trade relations. It was agreed that by the end of the year BCCI will organize an information session to present the opportunities for doing business in Colombia.

The Ambassador of Colombia in Warsaw is also an Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Bulgaria, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Romania and Ukraine. He communicated his positive experience with the chambers of commerce in the Baltic countries, which good practice will be shared by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry to convey useful information to companies interested in doing business in South America.
