Meeting within the framework of the "One Belt, One Road" initiative for technological exchange in the energy sector between China and Bulgaria




The Bulgarian Gas Association and the Council for Innovation, Digitalization and New Technologies at BCCI held a meeting at the Embassy of China in Sofia, continuing the cooperation under the "One Belt, One Road" initiative for technological exchange in the energy sector. Important aspects of bilateral cooperation in the energy sector were presented at the meeting.

Representatives of Chinese companies such as Huawei and Pinggao demonstrated their high-tech achievements in the field of energy, highlighting China's leadership in this field.

The meeting included discussions on future initiatives and projects, such as the creation of an Energy Incubator for new technologies and productions, the perspectives of the renewable energy market, etc. The possibilities of recycling photovoltaic cells and the storage of energy from renewable sources were discussed.

Plamen Pavlov, President of the Bulgarian Gas Association, shared his opinion that the organization of similar initiatives is a continuation of the cooperation between BCCI and the Embassy of the People's Republic of China, which has held several training courses for Bulgarian business in China under the "One Belt, One Road" Program and these initiatives deepen the partnership between China and Bulgaria in the field of energy and technological exchange, which can have a positive contribution to the development of the energy sector in both countries.

The Bulgarian mediator of the meeting was Radoslav Petkov, President of the Council for Innovation, Digitalization and New Technologies at BCCI, who outlined the interests of the Bulgarian business and academic community, represented at the meeting by the University of Mining and Geology, the Technical University - Sofia and the Energy Cluster Bulgarian Gas Network .
