The Council of Ministers Wednesday approved a list of four priority projects for financing from the Modernisation Fund. The financing totals BGN 380,263,184 and the beneficiaries will supplement it with their own funds.
The supported projects will contribute to reducing carbon dioxide levels, ensuring the country's energy security, modernizing energy systems and increasing energy efficiency.
The planned investments include the deployment of nearly 450,000 smart meters, digital transformation and construction of electric vehicle charging points.
The Energy Minister should submit the approved projects for consideration and approval by the European Investment Bank and the Investment Committee of the Modernisation Fund.
