There are six long weekends in Bulgaria in 2025.
March 3, Liberation Day – Bulgaria’s national day – is on a Monday.
The Easter four-day weekend is from April 18 to 21. In 2025, Easter Sunday is on the same date for Orthodox, Protestant and Roman Catholic Christians.
May 24, Culture and Literacy Day – the Day of Saints Cyril and Methodius – is on a Saturday, so May 26 will be a special public holiday.
September 6, Unification Day, is on a Saturday, so September 8 will be a special public holiday.
September 22, Independence Day, is on a Monday.
In 2024, Christmas Eve is on a Wednesday, so there will be a five-day weekend, from December 24 to 28.
