In 2024, the total value of all the goods exported from Bulgaria amounted to 84 047.2 million leva, 3.3 per cent less than in 2023, the National Statistical Institute (NSI) said on February 10.
In December 2024, the total exports of goods added up to 6 209.3 million leva, a decrease of 3.9 per cent compared with December 2023, the NSI said.
The total value of all the goods imported into Bulgaria in 2024 was 97 389.1 million leva (at CIF prices), 0.3 per cent more than in 2023. The imports of goods from third countries increased by 6.9%
In December 2024, the total imports of goods increased by 1.2 per cent compared with December 2023, adding up to 7 883.8 million leva.
Bulgaria’s total foreign trade balance (exports FOB – imports CIF) was negative in 2024, amounting to 13 341.9 million leva.

The value of Bulgaria’s imports from Russia in 2024 added up to 1159. million leva, down from 6535.4 million in 2023, a decrease of 82.3 per cent, the National Statistical Institute (NSI) said in preliminary data on February 10, citing CIF prices.
Bulgaria’s exports to Russia in 2024 added up to 659.4 million leva FOB, compared with 979.7 million leva in 2023, a decrease of 32.7 per cent.
Bulgaria’s imports from Ukraine in 2024 added up to 2068.4 million leva at CIF prices, up from 1979.3 million leva in 2023, an increase of 4.5 per cent.
Exports from Bulgaria to Ukraine were 1108 million leva in 2024, down from 1675.1 million leva in 2023, a decrease of 33.9 per cent, according to the NSI.
