Bulgaria’s Borovets and Bansko ski resorts are the 2nd and 3rd best value European ski resorts for adults, according to a report published by the Post Office Travel Money, a state-owned retail company in the United Kingdom. The report compares costs like lift passes, ski and boot hire, lessons and snacks, at 36 ski resorts in nine countries across Europe.
The overall cost of a ski break was calculated based on the cost of a six-day ski pass and ski/boot hire for one person plus ski school (five-six half days), a range of drinks and lunch on the slopes, Post Office Travel Money said.
For the abovementioned ski services, Italy’s Bardonecchia is the best value for adult skiing (GBP 543.82/ BGN 1,286.75), followed by Borovets (GBP 563.14/ BGN 1,332.46) and Bansko (GBP 572.95/ BGN 1,355.67).
The survey also ranks Bansko as the 4th ski resort in Europe offering best value for families. A ski break in Bansko for two adults plus two children aged six and eight would cost GBP 1,810.19 (BGN 4,284.35).
