Bulgarian-Chinese Business Forum and Exhibition of Leading Chinese Companies in Sofia

An exhibition accompanied by a Bulgarian-Chinese Business Forum was held in Sofia in connection with the 75th anniversary of establishing the diplomatic relations between Bulgaria and China. The initiator and host of the event was the Bulgarian National Association, called "One Belt, One Road". The President of the Republic of Bulgaria, Mr Roumen Radev, and the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China in Sofia H.E. Dai Qingli officially opened the Forum.

BCCI Vice President Dr Vasil Todorov took part in the event with a speech of welcome given to the participants and a presentation of the long-standing cooperation between BCCI and partner organisations from China. It was noted that a Bulgarian business delegation, led by BCCI President Tsvetan Simeonov, earlier this month, visited the cities of Fuzhou, Xiamen and Beijing with the assistance of the International Centre for Economic Cooperation in Fujian, the Chinese Agency for Developing International Cooperation (CCPIT), the Embassy of China in Sofia and other partners. The Delegation included 32 managers and experts from regional chambers of commerce, sectoral organisations and member companies, which have authorised BCCI to represent their interests, as well as representatives of partner organiations of the Chamber.

This year BCCI signed an Agreement with CCPIT Sichuan and meetings were held in Sofia with a delegation from CCPIT Beijing. The Chamber's network of partners from China includes organisations from Shanghai, Guangxi, Guangdong, Hohhot, Jiangsu, Dalian, Tianjin and many others. There are 81 companies with Chinese participation and 76 Trade representation offices of Chinese companies, registered with the BCCI.

Leading Chinese companies such as Huawai Bulgaria, United Energy Group and others made presentations of their products during the business Forum and exhibition.
