Bulgaria Took Part in ProWein Trade Fair for Wines and Spirits in Dusseldorf

Bulgaria was represented by 33 wineries at ProWein, the international trade fair for wines and spirits in Dusseldorf, between March 16 and 18. The country's participation in the world's largest international fair for this industry offers a chance to popularize Bulgarian winemaking and strengthen its presence on the international market, Deputy Agriculture and Food Minister Stefan Burdzhev said during the opening of the Bulgarian booth at the exhibition, as quoted by his ministry on Sunday. He said this is evidenced by the large number of Bulgarian participants, seven more than in 2024.

The Bulgarian exhibitors presented a variety of high-quality red, white and rosé wines produced in various regions of the country, including the Black Sea Coast, the Thracian Valley, the Struma Valley, the Danubian Plain and the Fore-Balkan. Visitors can taste wine from grape varieties typical of the country, such as Mavrud, Gamza, Dimiat, Misket, Rubin and Melnik.
