The newly-appointed Senior Commercial Officer to the Embassy of the United States of America in Bulgaria - Mr. Miguel A. Hernandez visited BCCI and discussed with President Tsvetan Simeonov opportunities for developing commercial and economic relations between Bulgaria and the USA. Emily Taneva and Petar Delin, Specialists in the Commercial Section of the Embassy, and Vladimir Tomov, Chairman of the Investment Council at BCCI also took part in the meeting.
Tsvetan Simeonov acquainted his guests with the history and activities of BCCI, emphasizing the advantages of the Chamber’s voluntary Unified Trade Register and the digitized Arbitration Court. He provided up-to-date information on Bulgaria’s place in international economic rankings and indices.
During the meeting the bilateral trade and economic relations were discussed and significant development potential was identified. The upcoming trade mission from Alabama to our country in the period 27 - 28 September 2018 was cited as a great opportunity to establish partnerships between Bulgarian and American SMEs. The Commercial Section of the U.S. Embassy, in cooperation with the American Chamber of Commerce in Bulgaria and with the support of BCCI, will organize individual meetings for 7 American companies working in the sectors: mining, construction, oil and gas, agriculture, railway infrastructure, security, wood-processing, manufacturing of meteorological forecasting equipment.
