Conference “European cultural values – heritage that unites“

Conference entitled "European cultural values – heritage that unites” was held as part of the series of events that took place under the project “United Europe and its cultural heritage”. The conference was organized by the Embassy of the Republic of Poland to Sofia and the “199” Foundation. 

The initiative was held under the patronage of the Bulgarian Minister of Culture Dr. Peter Stoyanovich.

H. E. Mr. Leszek Hensel, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Poland to Bulgaria, paid particular attention to the presence of the BCCI’s President Tsvetan Simeonov, noting that culture and business have a scope of joint initiatives. 

The Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry БТПП sees the cultural heritage as a territory that offers tremendous opportunities for the development of the Bulgarian tourism as well.

The conference was dedicated to the development of the museums in Bulgaria, Poland and Europe in general.  

This year Polish and Bulgarian experts have focused their attention on the position of the national heritage in the state policy in the field of culture, and on the way the museums promote the history of the national state.
