Presentation “Foods and Beverages from Sunny Bulgaria” in the capital of Moldova

The President of BCCI Tsvetan Simeonov participated in a presentation of “Foods and Beverages from Sunny Bulgaria” in Chisinau, organized at the initiative of the Embassy of Bulgaria in Moldova, and in particular of the Commercial and Economic Section at the Embassy. The aim was to present and advertise Bulgarian food products to the Moldovan market and to get acquainted with representatives of the local retail chains, who had the opportunity to taste the Bulgarian products.

The Ambassador of Bulgaria to Moldova H.E. Evgeni Stoychev welcomed the initiative and expressed the readiness of the Embassy to continue to support the establishment and strengthening of contacts between companies from both countries in the future.

Bronislav Denev, Head of Bulgaria’s Commercial and Economic Section in Chisinau noted that 15 Bulgarian companies – manufacturers of wines, mineral waters, canned foods, meat delicacies, confectionery and pastry goods, took part in the event which was being held for the third time in the Moldovan capital.

The President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Moldova – Sergiu Harea also welcomed the Bulgarian companies, pointing out that the main role of the Chamber is to broaden the opportunities for the business, and in this sense the initiative to present Bulgarian foods and beverages to the Moldovan market and to specific partners – importers, traders and distributors, is an excellent opportunity for that.

Tsvetan Simeonov, President of the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, said that the initiative is more than necessary as a decline in the bilateral trade between Bulgaria and Moldova has been registered. He expressed readiness a similar event to be held in Bulgaria next year, presenting Moldovan goods in Sofia. The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Moldova will be a partner in the organization of the exhibition.
