The Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry has joined the founding members of “Export Hub Bulgaria” (EHB).
The founding members, through the creation of “Export Hub Bulgaria”, aim to provide a platform for facilitation and support of the Bulgarian SMEs’ efforts when accessing foreign markets - traditional and new, as well as for a transformation of their ideas into tangible export business, exclusively by providing access to enterprises with export potential to the services, infrastructure and support needed.
Among the target group of „Export Hub Bulgaria“ are SMES which have reached the stage of their growth to access foreign markets and have a competitive product / service with proven export potential and production capacity.
Vasil Todorov, Secretary General of BCCI, said that the initiative brings together the efforts of numerous business organizations which main mission is to help SMEs access the international markets.
As part of its commitments to “Export Hub Bulgaria”, BCCI will carry out the following activities: organization of national and international events with a focus on information and business processes; publication of business offers in international databases; assessment of the innovation capacity of SMEs; information services on the conditions and procedures for issuing foreign trade documents; information services on the commercial dispute settlement procedures through commercial arbitration and mediation; provision of consultancy services to participants at the EHB on the implementation of global supply chain standards /GS1/.
The representatives of the public and private institutions, coordinated by the Bulgarian Small and Medium Enterprises Promotion Agency (BSMEPA), discussed the launch of the program and the criteria by which SMEs will be selected and supported through an export program including a series of workshops to be launched in 2020.
