The President of the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Tsvetan Simeonov met with H.E. Seyed Mohammad Javad Rasouli, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Iran to our country. The bilateral economic relations were discussed. It was noted that the new conditions – the removal of the Covid-19 restrictions – provide opportunities for their development. On the other hand, the military situation in Ukraine is hampering trade and both countries need to take faster steps and find ways to boost trade in chemicals, petroleum products and foodstuffs.
Ambassador Rasouli stressed the need to deepen the joint efforts to speed up the logistical movement of goods between the two countries. He also informed that an exchange of business visits between Iran and Bulgaria is forthcoming. The President of BCCI confirmed the readiness of the Chamber to assist in organizing business meetings and events with Iranian partners.
