Bulgarian employers' organizations sent a signal to the European Commission about infringement of the competition legislation
On 1 August 2019, the Bulgarian Industrial Capital Association (BICA), the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) and the Confederation of Employers and Industrialists in Bulgaria (KRIB) sent a signal to DG “Competition” of the European Commission and the Agency for the Cooperation of Energy Regulators (ACER) for violations in the energy sector.
On 22 July, the signal was also sent to Bulgarian Commission for the Protection of Competition (CPC) and concerns infringement of Art. 15, Art. 21 and Art. 22 of the Bulgarian Law on Protection of Competition.
The organizations have alerted the CPC that "The existence of connectivity between the owners of the production power plants (companies) and the electricity traders company is a concentration that objectively creates conditions for market manipulation."
