The trade and economic relations between Bulgaria and Germany are booming
The President of BCCI Tsvetan Simeonov met with the newly appointed Head of Bulgaria’s Commercial and Economic Section in Munich – Stefan Yonkov. Following his previous term-of-office in Berlin, Yonkov shared the priorities of his work aimed at deepening the ties between Bulgarian business and BCCI with partners from the Bavaria and Baden-Württemberg provinces.
The trends in bilateral trade between Bulgaria and Germany were discussed. Over the last two years, Bulgaria has a positive trade balance. In 2018, trade volume amounted to EUR 8.2 billion.
“More German investments in Bulgaria will be announced as a results of our joint efforts,” Yonkov said.
BCCI will take part in the upcoming session of the Joint Commission Bulgaria – Bavaria, which will be held in October 2019 in Plovdiv.
BCCI and the Commercial and Economic Section in Munich agreed on the organization of joint initiatives aiming to strengthen the economic cooperation, with the assistance of the German – Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and regional chambers of commerce in Germany.
