The visit of a delegation from Silk Road Chamber of International Commerce Limited (SRCIC) to Bulgaria ended successfully. The main event during the visit was a Bulgarian – Chinese Business Forum held at the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Its main goal was to present the Silk Road Chamber of International Commerce.
Tsvetan Simeonov, President of BCCI, opened the event in which representatives of the management of the international organization, Bulgarian companies and sectorial organizations took part. Jean-Guy Carrier, Executive Chairman of SRCIC, presented the activities and projects of the international organization.
Li Zhonghang, Vice Chairman of the international organization pointed out that the cooperation between Bulgaria and China is conditioned by the fact that our country is located at a geographical crossroads, relates to the One Belt, One Road initiative, and is stimulated by the external orientation of the Chinese economy, which is constantly growing and in 2018 is expected to be accountable for 23% of global growth. He said that albeit the cooperation with BCCI has started recently (the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry became a member of the international organization in February 2018), the plans for its development are serious amid the already established partnerships of BCCI in China and the organization’s solid history and contacts.
Invest Bulgaria Agency also took part in the event with a presentation on how to start a business in Bulgaria and how to implement an investment idea in the country.
BCCI negotiated with its partners from the Silk Road Chamber of International Commerce to organize a visit of a Bulgarian delegation to China in 2019.
The Chinese delegation also had meetings at the Administration of the President of the Republic of Bulgaria, the Ministry of Economy, as well as with the Minister for the Bulgarian Presidency of the Council of the EU Lilyana Pavlova, and the Minister of Agriculture and Forestry Rumen Porozhanov.
