Bulgarian President Rosen Plevneliev had a talk with representatives of the nationally recognized employers' organizations

The President of the Republic Rosen Plevneliev met with representatives of the nationally recognized employers' organizations in Bulgaria, including BCCI’s President Tsvetan Simeonov. The Head of state and the representatives of the employers' organizations exchanged ideas about the economic and political situation in the country, as well as about the update of the State Budget Act for 2013 adopted by the National Assembly.

The employers’ representatives supported President Rosen Plevneliev’s principal position on the need for a dialogue to achieve consensus about the major tasks facing the nation and to overcome the current social and political crisis.

They expressed their concern about the short-term prospects for the Bulgarian economy. The business put an emphasis on the need to accelerate some of the leading reforms, including in relation to measures for reduction of the administrative burden on businesses.

The Head of state and the leading employers’ organizations will continue their regular dialogue as became clear during the meeting.
