BCCI has significantly reduced the fees for issuing certificates of force majeure related to the blockade of the Bulgarian-Greek border

In connection with the blockade of border checkpoints on the Bulgarian-Greek border due to ongoing protests by Greek farmers and preventing the passage of trucks, BCCI has received requests for certificates of force majeure, with which Bulgarian companies are exempted from liability for delay in the implementation of contracts with partners from Bulgaria or abroad.

As an organization of entrepreneurs in Bulgaria, BCCI is involved with the problems arisen and issues certificates of force majeure under simplified procedure thanks to the excellent cooperation of the Ministry of Interior. The Chamber alone provides the necessary documents proving the blocking of the border crossings, which coincides with the periods during which the contracts should have been fulfilled.

The Chamber acknowledges that the difficulties and financial losses refer very often to small businesses with 1, 2 or 3 vehicles and therefore the Executive Board of BCCI has determined especially for this case significantly reduced fees (over 5 times) for issuing force majeure certificates due to the blocking of the Bulgarian-Greek border. The fees are as follows: BGN 84.00 for a certificate in Bulgarian and BGN 96.00 for a foreign language certificate, including VAT for all companies, regardless of whether they are members of BCCI or not.
