BCCI with Partners organized a special event in Marseille to present business opportunities for French companies in Bulgaria

The Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, together with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Marseille, the CCI France in Bulgarie and the Embassy of the Republic of Bulgaria in France organized a special event to present business opportunities for French companies in Bulgaria.

BCCI President Tsvetan Simeonov shared numerous opportunities for collaboration with Bulgarian partners and emphasized that the Chamber serves equally Bulgarian and foreign companies. Currently, 113 companies with French capital and 81 trade representations are registered at BCCI.

The relations of the Bulgarian CCI with the oldest chamber of commerce in the world - the one in Marseille - date back to 1972, when the two organizations signed a cooperation agreement.

Radka Balabanova, Ambassador of Bulgaria to the French Republic, also took part in the event and stated that the current global challenges require enhanced cooperation between EU Member States in the interest of competitiveness. She noted that the important priorities for Bulgaria – joining the Eurozone and the OECD – are being implemented with the strong support of France.

The steady and positive development of bilateral trade was also discussed during the event. Over the past ten years, trade between the two countries has increased by 54%, reaching EUR 2,684.6 million in 2024.

Vessela Todorova-Mozetig, Director of CCI France in Bulgarie, presented detailed information on the sectors in which French companies are working in Bulgaria, namely: automotive sector, textile industry, energy sector, industrialization and environment, information technologies, food industry.

She gave real examples for each area and pointed out the high satisfaction of French companies operating in Bulgaria gaining economic growth and expansion.

Vessela Todorova-Mozetig also presented the economic and investment environment in the country and outlined the support and benefits for foreign investors provided by Invest Bulgaria Agency.
