Being the oldest and unquestionably the best-recognized business organization in the country, the BCCI are earnest in keeping the traditions and have diligently organized their 30th anniversary of Annual awards, presenting honors to successful companies and partners with contributions to the development of business in Bulgaria.
The award ceremony took place on December 5, 2023 at "Sofia Hotel Balkan". It was attended by more than 200 representatives of state institutions, diplomatic missions accredited to our country, members of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, branch organizations, regional chambers of commerce and industry (chambers), partners of the Chamber from the country and abroad. The President of the Parliament Rosen Zhelyazkov, the Prime Minister Nikolay Denkov and the President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Tsvetan Simeonov welcomed the awardees and the guests of the ceremony.
The awarded companies in the BCCI Ranking "TOP 100 Companies leading in the Bulgarian economy ®" have been selected by internationally recognized criteria on the basis of sustainability and successful management. Traditionally, awards are presented to a regional chamber of commerce, branch organization, foreign ambassador and trade attache accredited to Bulgaria, as well as media and journalist.
Giuseppina Zarra, Ambassador of Italy to Bulgaria, received an award for her contribution to the development of the economic relations between the two countries and achievement of BCCI goals and objectives. Speaking in Bulgarian, Her Excellency said it was a great honor to be presented with the award – a token of the importance the relations between the two countries have, especially at commercial and industrial level.
Dimitrios Michas, Minister Plenipotentiary for Economic & Commercial Affairs at Embassy of Greece in Sofia, is winner of the award in the "Commercial Representative" category. It is a great privilege for me to be awarded at this ceremony, Dimitrios Michas said and thanked the Prime Minister for honoring the event. Michas pointed out the two countries had excellent relations, with Greece being Bulgaria's second largest trading partner for the last two years.
HERMES Bronze Statuettes and Honorary Diplomas were awarded to "A1 Bulgaria" EAD", Geotechmin " Ltd., " AIS Maritsa Iztok I" Ltd., "Telelink Business Services Group" AD, "Iskar Service" Ltd., "Bulgarian Association - Labor, Health, Safety", the Chamber of Commerce and Industry – Vratsa.
Unfailingly, the BCCI recognized as well the reporting excellence of Bulgarian media: the BULGARIAN NATIONAL TELEVISION was awarded in the "Media" category, and Lora Indjova from Nova News as a “Journalist". Both awards were presented by the President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
The President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Tsvetan Simeonov, shared that December was the time to take stock and the reason for choosing this period of the year to present BCCI Annual awards. The goal was to encourage the companies to be even more ambitious in their plans and programs, he added.
These awards reinforce our credence in our country’s valuable resource - companies and individuals who have a vision and the capacity to build and develop businesses, as well as the will to succeed. The BCCI thanks all of them for the cooperation and wishes to the rest of the companies to attain or even outshine their achievements.
