BCCI has sent a business delegation to Sicily



Bulgarian entrepreneurs are on a visit in Sicily at the invitation of the Association of Certified Public Accountants. The Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry prepared the visit after a meeting held with representatives of the organisation in Sofia last year.

The Bulgarian companies participated in a forum on the following topic: "Internationalisation of the business – cooperation on the Bulgarian market" which was held in the town of Milazzo yesterday. It presented the characteristics of the Bulgarian economic environment, the investment opportunities, the tax system and the special features of the labour and real estate markets.

The Bulgarian participants were welcomed by Salvatore Stefanelli, President of the Association of the Certified Accountants of Barcelona, Ivo Blandina, Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce of Messina, Roberto Melina, Advisor at the Association of Certified Accountants, etc.

Vladimir Tomov, Chairman of the BCCI Investment Council and member of the BCCI Management Board, presented the objectives, members and activities of the Council. Miroslava Markova, Chief Expert of the Chamber, gave an overview of the assistance, offered by BCCI, to do business in this country and abroad. Andriana Koleva, Head of the Bulgarian Trade and Economic Affairs Office in Milan, presented key sectors of the Bulgarian economy and the opportunities for cooperation between Bulgarian and Italian companies.

The representatives of some companies, namely Acad Technologies Ltd, BBT Engineering Ltd, Lira Ltd, etc., held bilateral talks with Italian partners. The common areas of interest are in the sectors of energy, tourism, information technology, innovative foods, machines and equipment.

Meetings with local institutions, visits to enterprises and a business forum in Catania are forthcoming.
