A session of the Bulgaria – Israel Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BICCI) was held at BCCI. The event was attended by Ms. Aliza Aroueti, Vice-Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce Israel – Bulgaria (IBCCI), Tel Aviv, and the Israeli businessmen – Lavi Asher and Haim Aviv.
The President of BCCI Tsvetan Simeonov welcomed the guests and the members of the two chambers, expressing satisfaction with the activity and the current partnership between BCCI, BICCI and IBCCI. He outlined the possible joint initiatives in 2020, during which the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry will celebrate its 125th anniversary.
The meeting of the Bulgaria – Israel Chamber of Commerce and Industry coincided with the visit of the President of the Republic of Bulgaria Rumen Radev to the State of Israel to participate in the commemoration ceremony on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the Auschwitz liberation and the International Holocaust Remembrance Day.
Aliza Aroueti gave a speech on behalf of the members of the IBCCI and especially on behalf of Jacky Aroueti, long-term Chairman of the Israel – Bulgaria Chamber of Commerce, Tel-Aviv. She expressed the desire of the members of the Federation of Chambers of Commerce and business representatives in Israel to intensify the bilateral trade and economic cooperation.
In continuation of the traditionally good cooperation, and in the context of expanding the trade and economic relations between Bulgaria and Israel, as well as in response to current requirements, a closer connection between science and business is especially important for BCCI, together with opportunities for cooperation between Bulgarian and Israeli companies in spheres of mutual interest.
The discussion on the establishment of a working mechanism for servicing the declared interest of Bulgarian organizations for cooperation with Israeli partners focused on the sectors of information and communication technologies, cybersecurity, project management, use and preservation of water resources.
