Release of the Action Plan containing specific measures for the country’s preparation for joining in ERM II and the Banking Union
The Government has approved an Action Plan Containing Measures in Response to the Republic of Bulgaria’s Intentions to Join the ERM II and the Banking Union by July 2019. The paper has been drafted as a result of the official letter dated 29 June 2018 of the Minister of Finance and the Governor of the Bulgarian National Bank for participation of the Republic of Bulgaria in the Single Supervisory Mechanism (SSM) by establishing close cooperation with the European Central Bank within the meaning of Regulation (EU) No 1024/2013, which expresses the country’s intentions to apply for the ERM II and which has also been supported politically by the Eurogroup.
