BCCI presented the Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands with an Honorary Diploma
BCCI presented the Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to the Republic of Bulgaria H.E. Mr. Thomas van Oorschot with an Honorary Diploma on the occasion of the end of his term of office. The award is given for his "active contribution to the development of the diplomatic relations between the Republic of Bulgaria and the Kingdom of the Netherlands, his support for the democratic initiatives in Bulgaria and in particular his help in implementing the rule of law and for his collaboration with the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry in achieving its objectives".
The President of BCCI Tsvetan Simeonov presented the Ambassador with the Honorary Diploma and thanked him for the long-standing cooperation, expressing readiness on behalf of the Chamber to participate in future initiatives supporting the Bulgarian and Dutch business.
Ambassador Oorschot has been in Bulgaria since the autumn of 2013 and during his diplomatic mission a number of initiatives were organized, such as participation in the EU Club at BCCI and presentation of the Priorities of the Dutch Presidency of the Council of the EU in 2016, and meetings with Bulgarian and Dutch entrepreneurs from various sectors of industry.
